To enhance the security of your Carwow Wallet, all users are required to set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). This additional layer of protection ensures that only you can access your wallet and perform sensitive actions.
Here’s how to set up 2FA for your Carwow Wallet:
Log in to Your Carwow Account:
Start by logging into your Carwow account and navigating to the wallet section. If this is your first time accessing the wallet, you will be prompted to set up 2FA by scanning the code displayed on the screen using an authenticator app.
Choose Your 2FA Application:
You’ll need to select an authentication application from your mobile app store.
We recommend using either Google Authenticator or the Guardian app by Auth0. These apps generate a time-based one-time password (TOTP) that changes every 30 seconds.
Download and install Google Authenticator or Guardian from your phone’s app store.
Scan the QR code provided by Carwow using the authenticator app itself (open the app and use its built-in scanner) — not your phone’s regular camera app.
Enter the code generated by your authentication app into the Carwow website to verify and activate 2FA.
Complete the Setup:
Once you've verified your 2FA method, it will be successfully enabled for your Carwow Wallet account. From now on, you will be prompted to enter your authentication code each time you perform certain sensitive actions in the Carwow Wallet.
Troubleshooting Tips
Lost or Changed Phone: If you’ve lost or changed your phone, please contact Carwow support to reset your 2FA.
Suspicious Activity: If you notice unusual or suspicious activity in your account, or if you believe your 2FA may have been compromised, contact Carwow support to reset your 2FA.
Stuck in a login loop: If you keep getting bounced back to the authentication code screen, make sure you’re entering the code from your authenticator app (not a text message or camera scan), and that your phone’s clock is set to automatic/network time, since authenticator codes are time-based. If it still won’t accept the code, contact Carwow support to have your 2FA reset.

Setting up more than one user
Each Wallet login is tied to one user and one phone. If the person who first sets up the Wallet isn’t the main buyer — for example, in franchise-style businesses with a separate owner and buyer — additional users should be set up with their own login under their own email address, rather than sharing one login. There are two permission types, making purchases and withdrawing funds to your business account, which can be assigned in any combination depending on what each person needs.
Why is 2FA Important?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Carwow Wallet by requiring both your password and a second piece of information to complete sensitive actions. This makes it much harder for unauthorized users to access your account, even if they know your password.
