How to Amend a Price During Payment

Written by Magda Pinto

If you need to adjust the final price to match your internal records or specific agreements — for example if there’s a "chip" (a price reduction agreed at collection) — you can do so directly within the payment flow. The system will automatically provide an updated cost breakdown for your accounts department.

Steps to Amend the Price

  1. Start the Payment: Navigate to the payment section for your transaction and click Review and Pay.

  2. Access the Review Page: Proceed until you reach the Review Payment Details page.

  3. Edit the Amount: Locate the Amend Purchase Price field and enter the amount you would like to reduce the final price by — not the new total. For example, if you’re reducing the price by £100, type 100, not the final total price.

  4. Review the New Breakdown: Once the price is changed, the system will instantly generate a new Review Payment Details page based on the updated figure.

  5. Confirm details: Before clicking 'Process Payment,' confirm all amounts are correct, and if applicable, check the finance settlement to confirm all details are matching.

  6. Complete Transaction: After verifying the new figures, click Process Payment.

Tip: Always perform the price amendment before finalizing the transaction to ensure your digital paper trail remains consistent for auditing.

Topping up after a price change:

If you’re paying with Wallet funds, you only need the adjusted (reduced) amount available in your Wallet — not the original price.
