The best and most secure ways to send us your feeds is either via a SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) or a more standard FTP (File Transfer Protocol). Alternatively, we can download the stock cars from dealers’ FTP if you have one. For the uninitiated, these are nowhere near as intimidating as they sound.
You can send it to us via files.com - here’s how to do it:
Start by downloading a free FTP Host application to access your dedicated FTP folder. These are the two we’d recommend. To download, simply click on either option then follow the onscreen instructions. It shouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes.

Follow the instructions below to log in your FTP folder:
Click ‘Open Connection’ and fill out all the relevant details using the login credentials provided.
Log in using the standard File Transfer Protocol (Port 21) or SSH (secure shell) File Transfer Protocol (Port 22).
Here’s an example of how it should look.

Now you’re ready to start uploading files, follow these next steps:
Simply drag and drop or use the ‘Upload’ option to move your files into the folder.
You’ll receive a prompt to ‘Connect’ or ‘Continue’ the connection. If you accept, then your file will be uploaded to the folder.
If you need to remove your file from the folder, just right-click on the specific file and select delete.

Here’s how you can log in to the FTP folder using Filezilla:
Quick Connect - The host is the same as the server (files.carwow.com)
Fill out all the relevant details using the login credentials provided by our Partner Operations team.
Click ‘Quickconnect’ to access the folder.
Alternatively, follow the steps below to access your FTP folder:
Go to ‘File’
Select ‘Site Manager’
Click on ‘New Site’
Fill out all the relevant details using the login credentials provided.
You can upload files to the FTP folder by:
Use the left hand panel to select the file you wish to upload.
Drag and drop a file between different locations to initiate the upload.
Highlight the file, right-click and select ‘Upload’.
If you need to remove your file from the folder, just right-click on the specific file, select delete and click ‘OK’ to confirm the file’s removal.
