Now you’ve guided the consumer through all the steps above, how long do you wait for the customer to make a decision?

It’s good practice to try and reconnect with a consumer who has shown little interest in your offers, even if only to acknowledge that the service is no longer required. Always follow up an inactive interaction in order to re-engage with consumers and ensure their not being drawn away by a rival offer.

Even if you’re only acknowledging that the service is no longer required, you can professionally book-end the interaction and leave the door open for further contact if you politely thank the consumer for their time and offer to help with any future car-changing needs.
