Why were my bank statements rejected?

The four rules your bank statements need to meet, and how to fix a rejection.

Bank statements are usually rejected because they miss one of four rules: they must be full PDFs from your online banking, cover the last 3 consecutive months, be issued in the last 6 months, and come from a UK business account in your dealership's name.

How to sort it:

Check your upload meets these criteria:

  • Full PDF downloads only: We can't accept screenshots of mobile banking apps, Excel spreadsheets, or cropped images. Please download the official, full statement directly from your online banking portal.

  • Full 3 Months: The statements must cover the last 3 consecutive months of financial activity.

  • Recent issuance: The statements must have been issued within the last 6 months.

  • Correct account name: The bank account must be a UK business bank account held in your registered dealership's name (not a personal account).

Things to know

  • Alternative option: If bank statements aren't available, you can upload your most recent audited financial statements.

  • Sole Trader without a business account? Personal statements are accepted. See I'm a sole trader. What documents do I need?
